How to refresh your social media connection

Refresh a connection when platform permissions change, an admin changes, or syncing stops after the account is still selected in your brand.

Refresh the current connection

You may need to refresh the current connection for these reasons:

  • Changes in a social network API

  • Changes to the permissions you previously granted. For example, if there is a new Facebook admin or permissions have expired, as can happen on LinkedIn.

  • To update recent data. When you refresh the connection, a sync starts automatically.

Some features will not work until you refresh the connection.

Refreshing the Instagram connection

Instagram has two different connection types. To recover your previous data correctly, reconnect with the same method you used before.

Before you refresh or reconnect your Instagram account, check which connection type you use and repeat the same process. For details, see Access to Instagram: connection types and differences.

How to refresh the connection

  1. Open the connections dashboard.

  2. Disconnect the current connection by clicking the X next to the account name.

  3. Click Connect. A pop-up window for the social network will appear.

  4. Log in with the account credentials, or click continue if you are already logged in.

Once reconnected, the data sync starts again automatically.

If prompted, accept all permissions again.
