How to Link Threads to Instagram
To connect a Threads account to the platform, it must first be linked to Instagram. This article explains how to create that link and confirm it is working.
Link your Threads account to Instagram
Threads is designed to work directly with Instagram, so linking the two accounts is part of the standard setup flow.
Download the Threads app
Install the Threads app from Google Play or the App Store.Log in with your Instagram account
When you open the app for the first time, log in with the Instagram account you want to use. If you have multiple Instagram accounts on the device, choose the correct one.Set up your Threads profile
Threads automatically uses your Instagram username, profile picture, and basic profile details. You can then customize other details inside Threads.Sync followers
During setup, Threads may offer the option to follow the same accounts you already follow on Instagram.Verify the link
Open your Threads profile and confirm it reflects the same account details as Instagram.

Notes
A Threads account is always linked to an Instagram account.
You cannot unlink Threads from Instagram without deleting the Threads account.
Deleting a Threads account does not delete the Instagram account.

Verify the connection
To confirm the link is active, open your profile in Threads.
Your username and profile details should match the Instagram account used during setup. If you click the username, Threads may show that the account is synced with Instagram and that changes must be managed there.
